Slow Cooker Sausage and Cabbage

Who doesn't love a family friendly, slow cooker meal with just 5-ingredients!?!  I make this dish a few different ways, but this is definitely one of the favorites.  Everyone gobbles this one up.  In fact I only have enough leftover for 2 lunches tomorrow!  That is always a happy feeling when you can please everybody at the dinner table.

I mentioned earlier that this is only 5-ingredients so that means it is a great budget saver.  The ingredients are really cheap too.  You really can't beat that type of meal.

Slow Cooker Sausage and Cabbage
1 head of cabbage, cored and shredded
8 oz carrots, peeled and diced
2 medium onions, diced
2 lbs kielbasa, sliced into 1/2 in pieces
4 TBS butter, cut into 8 pats

  • Toss the cabbage, carrots, and onions together in the slow cooker
  • Top with pats of butter
  • Top with sausage
  • Cook on high for 4 hours, stir after 2 hours and as needed
  • Season with salt and pepper if desired
I told you it was easy.  This is probably one of the easiest recipes I use and it is definitely a family favorite.  Give this one a try and you won't regret it!
